A quick stop for local snacks. We often order a few fresh oysters to snack on. They have all the local favs and will shuck and clean them for you so you can slurp them down on the spot!
We also love grabbing some frozen handpies to take with us for an easy meal at the cottage.
3437 Brackley Point Rd, Brackley Beach

Our personal recommendation is to order the lobster burger. Most visitors head straight for the cold lobster roll, but in our opinion they're missing out. The lobster burger is served warm on a buttery bun and loaded with chunks of PEI lobster. It's rich, messy, and absolutely delicious.
9 Wharf Rd, York

Casual beachside eatery, dogs welcome to dine indoors in the air conditioning! It’s a fun atmosphere with outdoor games, great for kids and pups!
106 Beach Rd, Grand Tracadie
-
We keep close tabs on the Cows locations on the island. We’ve been known to stop here for our ice cream fix when in the area!
8779 PE-6, Cavendish
-
This is absolutely one of our favourite places, they have a new location this year (2026).
Pro Tip: Join the online waitlist on their website BEFORE you get hungry! You cannot make reservations and often times there’s a wait. We often sign up on the waitlist and then plan our day around the wait!
5033 Rustico Rd, Rustico

This is a must-stop for us. I think we’ve tasted almost everything on the menu and I would recommend everything and anything! Special mentions: they change up their menu often but sometimes they have amazing eggs benedict variations with seasonal inspiration and they are to die for!
We often stop by at happy hour when the starters and drinks are half price!
82 Fitzroy St, Charlottetown
ChARLOTTETOWN

We love this little brunch cafe and often head here on a rainy morning to soak up the atmosphere and delicious brunch offerings!
142 Great George St, Charlottetown

This deserves it’s own section, there is a Cows at Peake’s Quay Wharf just in case!
Great George St, Charlottetown

Local brewpub, you can find their brews all around the island in take away fashion as well. They often have live music, too!
126 Sydney St, Charlottetown
-
This might be our best kept secret! We love stopping by the flagship store to grab warm handpies after a trip to see the Confederation bridge.
You can also find them in the freezer section at most grocery stores (including the Co-op in Morell)!
1788 PE-115, Albany
-
Yup, another Cows Creamery location so we’ve got you covered on all sides of the island!
126 Abegweit Blvd, Borden-Carleton
-
We usually try to fit in another visit to Richard’s @ Victoria-By-The-Sea! The menu is slightly different at the different locations but it’s all delicious!
2 Main St, Victoria

We love the chowder and the experience here. There are two kinds of chowder: seafood and clam. It might be the unpopular choice but I vote clam!
Also, DO NOT skip the buttermilk biscuit, they’re so good!
2150 Point Prim Rd, Belfast
-
You require reservations ahead of time for this experience. It’s a day trip and culinary adventure including farm tours, amazing food and beautiful accommodations.
If you’re not up for a 30-course meal (jk) you can ask about availability to the happy hour portion where they serve appetizers and all you can eat oysters!
We highly recommend this experience!
758 Route 310, Souris

If you’re looking for delicious pizza and sides, then make sure to stop by the Red Head Wharf for this stop!
They sell out often so check before you go to make sure!

We love this little casual outdoor eatery, the food is great and views are great.
See if you can spot the cottage from the other side of the bay!

Don’t let the location fool you, this is a little gem! Try the cold lobster roll with dill, yum!
7621 St Peters Rd, Morell

Another great casual dining option less than 10 minutes from the cottage. They have some delicious seafood offerings but their burgers are also really good!
