The cottage is supplied by a private well. The water is regularly tested and is safe for drinking, cooking, bathing, and everyday use.

Like many PEI cottages, the property also operates on a septic system. A few simple precautions help keep everything running smoothly for all guests.

• Well water is available throughout the cottage and is safe for drinking and cooking.

• Please flush toilet paper only.

• Do not flush wipes (including "flushable" wipes), paper towel, feminine hygiene products, cotton swabs, or other items.

• If you experience any concerns with the water or plumbing during your stay, please contact us.

A washer and dryer are available for guest use throughout your stay, making it easy to refresh clothing, beach towels, and everyday essentials.

• A starter supply of laundry detergent is provided for your convenience.

• For most loads, we recommend using the "Normal" cycle on both the washer and “Timed Dry” setting on the dryer.

• Quick reference instructions can be found inside the laundry closet.

• If you've been enjoying the beach, please give sandy towels, clothing, and beach gear a quick shake outdoors before placing them in the washer.

• Hooks and a retractable clothes line are available on the porch for hanging damp towels, swimsuits, and beach gear to dry.

• The cottage is equipped with separate bins for garbage, recycling, and compost.

• Outdoor collection bins are located behind the shed for overflow.

• Please use the designated bins whenever possible to help support PEI's waste diversion program.

• A quick reference guide can be found under the sink if needed.

• If you're unsure where something belongs, don't stress, we'd much rather you enjoy your vacation than spend time sorting through packaging.

PEI weather can be wonderfully unpredictable, so the cottage is equipped to keep you comfortable throughout the seasons.

• A heat pump in the main living area provides air conditioning for the cottage during warmer months.

• For best performance, please keep exterior doors and windows closed while the air conditioning is running.

• A quick reference guide can be found beside the heat pump remote if needed.

• Ceiling fans are available in each bedroom and in the main living area for additional comfort and air circulation.

• Each ceiling fan is operated by its own remote control. We kindly ask that remotes be returned to their usual location after use.

• Electric baseboard heaters are installed throughout the cottage, with individual thermostats allowing room-by-room temperature adjustments during cooler weather.

• For safety, please keep towels, clothing, luggage, bedding, and other items away from heaters while they are in use.

If you have any questions about the heating or cooling systems during your stay, we're happy to help.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the fire pit during their stay.

• We do not provide firewood, but it is available locally.

• Never leave a fire unattended.

• Ensure the fire is completely extinguished before heading indoors.

• Guests are responsible for following any local fire restrictions that may be in effect during their stay.

Please note: pets must be declared at the time of booking.

You'll find a pet welcome basket located inside the cottage, the basket includes

• Dedicated pet towels for drying off sandy paws before coming inside whenever possible.

• Dedicated pet blankets for use on furniture during your stay.

• An outdoor hose is also available for rinsing paws after a day at the beach.

To help keep the cottage welcoming for everyone, we kindly ask that you:

• Clean up after your pet while enjoying the property.

• If your pet will be left unattended, please ensure they are comfortably crated.

• We kindly ask that pet bedding and heavily soiled pet items not be washed in the cottage laundry units.

If an accident happens, please let us know as soon as possible. We'd much rather have the opportunity to help than have you worry about it.

• Sandy feet and beach gear are all part of island life! We simply ask that you give them a quick shake or rinse before bringing them inside whenever possible.
